(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Addressing a Convention on 'Awareness of Islam and Imam Khomeini', on the occasion of 22nd death anniversary of the Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (R.A.), Nabizadeh said, “Imam by giving foremost importance to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), won the hearts and the minds of the people and liberated this holy religion from the political and cultural stagnation and inaction which had taken hold over the Islamic societies.'
He said that the biggest achievement of the movement of Imam was the familiarity of the people of the world with the real Islam. Because, he (Imam) always preached that if the basic tenets of Islam which were brought by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), are properly and completely implemented in all parts of the world, all human beings would enjoy peace and security and would attain real happiness. They would reach the extreme limit of welfare, peace, honor, prestige, satisfaction and noble behavior.
Imam not only preached that but practiced what preached, noted Iranian diplomat.
He further said that for the reasons, Imam Khomeini (R.A.) as the idealist of the Islamic Revolution and the founder of the system of the Islamic Republic could play the role of a leader in the best possible way not only in the history of Iran but in the world and the victory of the great Islamic Revolution was the result of his effective leadership, Nabizadeh added.
Iranian official stressed that by following the legacy left behind by the revered leader all people, having any kind of faith, can live with each other peacefully, sincerely, securely and brotherly with unity, love and integrity and without having any religious or racial dispute provided the domination seeking powers desist from their arrogant aggressions and permit that the people themselves decide their own fate and the fate of their lands.
Beside Mehdi Nabizadeh, the convention, organized by the well-known socio-political movement “All India Muttaheda Milli Mahaz”, was addressed by Dr Karim Najfi, Cultural Counsellor of Iran, Rashid Alavi, Member of Parliament and Senior Leader of Congress.
Meanwhile, Dr. Tauqir Ahmad Khan, Head of Urdu Deptt. University of Delhi and Maulana Mohammad Haroom Qasmi, President Tanzeem A'emma Masajid also expressed their views on the occasion..
They in one voice stressed upon that Imam Khomeini (R.A.) relying faith in Allah Almighty and following teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH), follow a big aim to save the societies from diversion, corruption and oppression in a bid to lead them to glory, independence, and true belief. “Following Imam’s lofty ideology and extending support to all the oppressed people around the globe will be the real tribute to the greatest leader of the contemporary times,” they added.
A large number of prominent Ulemas, Islamic Scholars and political figures from every nook and corner of the country attended the convention.
